2-16-21   THOUGHTS

Ps 2:7    "I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

All of God’s PROMISES produce an ETERNAL YES!  And THE YES IS IN CHRIST JESUS!  This is VICTORY coming from God’s mind!  It has been happening since the beginning of time.  Prophets and promises brought us to CHRIST in the fullness of times.
The DECREE of the Lord is ETERNAL SALVATION IN CHRIST JESUS! YES!
1John 5:11    And the testimony is this,
                       that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
2Cor 1:19-22   For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us — by me and Silvanus and Timothy —  was not yes and no, but is yes in Him. 20  For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. 21  Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,  22  who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
Eph 1:13-14  In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation —  having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14  who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
Eph 4:30   Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
God made it all POSSIBLE through Christ Jesus, then HE MADE IT SURE THROUGH HIS SPIRIT!  The DECREE OF GOD IS A POWERFUL “YES”!

Having the “YES PROMISE’...  Why would we chose a “NO” life?
1John 5:19-20    We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 20  And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
This gives the CAUSE FOR  EVANGELISM!  Acts 26:18   to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’    [Jesus to Saul]

My Prayer:
Thank you Oh God for the blessed assurance that is in Jesus.  Help us to live assured lives.  Give us your power to boldly speak the good news of our resurrected Lord.  May your Spirit guide us and keep our hearts assured before you.  Help us to see your eternal promises and to make them work in our lives.  We long for eternity with you Oh God.
